The Doppel Adler Band is a typical Bavarian brass band, with a repertoire of hundreds of German Evergreens and current Schlager, American tunes of the 40's, 50's and 60's as well as today's listening and dancing favorites.
Doppel Adler has been entertaining people with lively polkas, waltzes, czardas, tangos, foxtrots etc. from America, Hungry, Czechoslovakia, Egerland, Germany, and the Oberkrain for over one hundred years.
The group began as the Mike Houser Band and for many years performed on radio as the Schnitzler German Band.
The group of seven accomplished musicians furnish the finest instrumental, vocal and specialty numbers.
The arrangements for these selections come from the original, handwritten manuscripts from the hundred year old Doppel Adler Band. Much of the music this band plays has been handed down from one bandmaster to the next in the original handwritten form.
